With over 10,000 attendees, the National Leadership Conference is the annual conference bringing together FCCLA members, advisers, alumni, and partners across the nation!

ConneCTEd at the 2026 National Leadership Conference
Washington, D.C. (July 6 - July 10, 2026)
From July 6 - July 10, nearly 200 members, advisers, and alumni represented New Jersey FCCLA in our nation's capitol for the 2026 National Leadership Conference. Our state association was well represented in awards, leadership development, and advocacy efforts.
New Jersey FCCLA excelled in competitive events, with 81 gold medals, 57 silver medals, and 5 bronze medals for STAR Events. Twenty seven New Jersey teams were in the Top 10, with six teams in the Top 3. We also had nine Skill Demonstration event participants and 30 Challenge Test participants, with thirteen Top 3 winners. Our state association was also recognized for a membership increase in the 2025-2026 school year. Members and advisers advocated for FCCLA, FCS, and CTE programming with legislative visits at New Jersey congressional offices.
Congratulations to Anna George, adviser of Bergen County Technical School, who was awarded the Spirit of Advising Award. Kaya Bromiley and Arya Krishnan were on the NLC Content Creator team, utilizing their creative storytelling and social media skills to spotlight the exciting events happening at NLC. Brian Muirhead was a Member of the Year Finalist, selected out of over 270,000+ members nationwide for this prestigious honor. John P. Stevens FCCLA was awarded the 2025-2026 Ultimate Chapter Award, as well as 3rd Place nationally in the Safe Rides - Save Lives PSA contest. Rebecca Ortiz and Fotima Alieva were selected to model their garments at the Fashion Show. Kayla Bonet was recognized at the Say Yes to FCS Signing Ceremony, signifying her incredible dedication to majoring in Family and Consumer Sciences Education. Kaya Bromiley and Chrissy Costa presented Red Talks, sharing their knowledge with members and advisers.
We are proud of our very own, Rajganesh Srinivasan, who was elected to the 2026-2027 National Executive Council as National Vice President of Membership. We look forward to seeing our delegation at the 2027 National Leadership Conference in San Antonio, Texas!

National Vice President of Membership, Rajganesh Srinivasan!
Raj has been an active FCCLA member for the past five years, formerly serving as the NJ FCCLA Vice President of Parliamentary Law and Chapter Vice President of Conferences at John P. Stevens High School. Previously, he earned third place nationally in the Safe Rides - Save Lives public service announcement competition, promoting healthy emotions while driving. He also placed as a top-three finalist for the Entrepreneurship STAR Event. Raj looks forward to supporting over a quarter million FCCLA members as the National Vice President of Membership this coming year. Our New Jersey state association proudly supports Raj in his leadership journey as he represents New Jersey at the national level.
